At Beale Library, we were honored to attend a special event where Tübatulabal Tribe Chairman Robert Gomez, along with Council Member Betsy Johnson and other Tübatulabal members, offered a profound glimpse into their people’s history and stories. Chairman Gomez illuminated the struggles his tribe has faced and the momentous occasion when they were finally restored a piece of their ancestral land. He also enriched our experience by sharing elements of their language and traditional songs, deepening our connection to their heritage. The event saw an impressive turnout, and we were deeply honored to be part of such a meaningful occasion.
